Compass

Guiding action on elder abuse.

Compass is an Australian Government initiative funded by the Attorney-General’s Department in response to the National Plan to Respond to the Abuse of Older Australians (Elder Abuse).

Each month 50,000 older people in Australia visit Compass.info to learn more about how to better understand what elder abuse is, how to prevent it and how to respond to it. We also have information for carers, family and friends and service providers. In addition to over 1,000 Resources and 600 listed services across Australia, we also publish a range of new articles each month on topics ranging from ageism, what is elder abuse, how to recognise elder abuse, to coercive control, grandparent alienation, powers of attorney, isolation and World Elder Abuse Awareness Day which is on 15 June.
