Aboriginal Legal Service (NSW/ACT) is an Aboriginal non-government providing culturally appropriate information and referral, and legal advice and court representation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, women and children across NSW and ACT.
We assist Aboriginal people in criminal law; children’s care and protection law and family law as well as providing information and referral in civil law. We also assist work and development orders and custody notification.
Since relocating to Coffs Harbour in 2019, the ALS have maintained an outreach facility at the New School of Arts Neighbourhood Centre in Skinner St South Grafton, and will continue to meet Aboriginal clients who are attending either the Grafton or Maclean Courts.
Staff will be available to meet clients on 1st and 3rd Friday, and 2nd and 4th Wedneday of each month, from 10am - 4pm.
