Grafton Prostate Cancer Support Group

11am to 1pm, second Wednesday of each month

The group has been established to provide support to men diagnosed with prostate cancer, to share common experiences and raise awareness of prostate cancer in a safe and confidential environment.

Open discussions (informal and facilitated) where men, (and their partners if they wish), can share their experiences of coping with diagnosis, treatment, side effects and getting on with life after treatment.

We are affiliated with the Prostate Cancer Foundation and draw information and support from it and the NSW Cancer Council. Information Resources are available.

Our policy of confidentiality encourages open and frank discussion on issues for men with prostate cancer which can include first hand personal experiences of treatments and possible outcomes in areas that may otherwise be difficult to discuss.

Meetings will periodically be supported by health professionals, with presentations on topics related to prostate cancer; its treatment and management of side-effects; including medical, diet, physiotherapy and psychosocial information.

Our group exists to provide opportunities to meet for information, advice and mutual support. Meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 11am, at South Grafton Ex-Servicemens Club, 2 Wharf Street, South Grafton. All welcome anytime.
